3a - Typographic Hat Illustration
- Create a typographic illustration of a hat using the letters of the name of the hat to define the shape, form and volume of the hat.
- The name of the hat must be readable! Do not distort the text beyond readability, instead manipulate it to wrap around the contours of the shape of the hat.
- After you complete the typographic illustration you may add a small amount of extra elements to increase interest and readability.
- Everyone must choose a different hat.
3b - Poster Design
- Create a poster to market your hat, or a destination or time related to your hat.
Poster Process
- In one sentence define the objective of the poster
- Define the purpose, function, audience, and the information you wish to communicate
- Write the poster copy - One line headline, sub-head, refine your elevator speech
- Find typefaces that express your personality and communicate the spirit / concept of the poster
- Design!
